Indy Sidhu
About
Indy graduated with a Doctor of Physiotherapy from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. During his degree, he had the privilege to work with professional teams such as Sydney Football Club and New South Wales Basketball Teams. This great experience helped him grow as a physiotherapist and manage challenging injuries of professional athletes. Also, he worked in various community physiotherapy clinics where he helped individuals of all ages achieve their rehab goals.
In his youth, he participated in competitive sports such as wrestling for the University of Calgary Dinos and played cricket for the Provincial Team. In 2012, Indy sustained a serious ACL knee injury while playing cricket and underwent surgery followed by a lengthy rehab. Therefore, he understands the significant importance a comprehensive rehab program plays in achieving a high level of function and good quality of life. This evoked a special interest in assessing and treating acute knee injuries.
His treatment includes in-depth education, Dizziness + Balance / Vestibular Rehab, manual therapy techniques, and progressive strengthening exercises accompanied by therapeutic modalities. He also strongly believes that the best exercise is the one an individual will perform consistently. Therefore, he likes to involve his patients in creating rehab programs that are both manageable and achievable.
Indy has lived in three different countries: India, Canada, and Australia. Outside of clinic, he likes to spend time with his family and friends in the great outdoors. Likewise, he enjoys weight training and is currently training for a half marathon. Next year, his goal is to run a sub-2-hour half marathon.
