Monique Keizer
About
Monique joined the Lifemark team in 2015. Originally from Cape Breton, N.S. Monique graduated from Dalhousie University with a Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2013, following completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Science with a double major in Biology and Psychology.
Since graduating Monique has worked in several different areas of practice including rehabilitation, long- term care, acute care, and the community setting. She has continued her education with training in home assessments, ADL assessments, hand splinting, wheelchair assessments, ergonomic assessments, and job site analysis. Monique is currently pursuing training in the Workwell Functional Capacity Evaluation to expand her abilities and knowledge as an Occupational therapist within the Lifemark team.
Monique loves spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys volunteering in her community. In the past she has participated in the Run for the Cure, Big Red Bike (Heart and Stroke), Walk for Alzheimer’s, and volunteered with United Way Cape Breton.
Monique loves being an Occupational Therapist; she enjoys working with individuals, providing education and treatment to enable them to live independent and fulfilling lives.
Monique is in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia, and holds memberships with the Nova Scotia Society of Occupational Therapists and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
