About

Mat graduated with a Master of Physiotherapy Studies from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia in 2013 after previously completing a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science from Southern Cross University in Lismore, Australia.

Mat’s practice has a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation and acute shoulder and lower limb injuries. He has a preventative outlook for body biomechanics and believes educating and teaching hands-on skills to his patients is essential to injury recovery. Mat has a strong interest in sport therapy and has experience in working with amateur and professional athletes in various sports including swimming, rugby and volleyball.

His practice benefits from his own extensive athletic background in swimming and rugby, having competed professionally for numerous years. Swimming was always a passion and he was able to compete against and train with Olympians and some of Australia's most decorated coaches. Mat is currently trying any Canadian sport possible, hockey and skiing to start.
