Karen Tyssen
About
Karen is a Registered Physiotherapist who completed an Honours Kinesiology degree in 2005 at the University of Western Ontario. She then completed a Master of Physiotherapy from Western in 2007. Since graduating, Karen went on to complete her Master of Clinical Science in Spinal Manipulation in 2015 and became a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists (FCAMPT).
Karen has additional post-graduate training in orthopaedics, sports injuries, running-specific injuries and running gait assessment, female and male pelvic health, acupuncture, concussion and vestibular care, selective functional movement testing and neurological rehab.
Karen enjoys treating a variety of patients and injuries and has built a strong reputation in the running and triathlon community. She has worked with beginner, recreational, provincial, national and international level athletes. These include cross country, track and field, road and trail runners as well as sprint to ironman triathletes.
