Muaz Rana

Physiotherapist

About

Meet Muaz, a recent graduate with a Master's of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor's of Health and Physical Education from Mount Royal University.

His passion for physical therapy is deeply rooted in his belief that movement is an integral part of life. He holds the conviction that moving pain-free is not just a physical state but a gateway to higher self-efficacy, ultimately enhancing one's quality of life. Which is why exercise therapy is a pillar in his therapeutic approach, complemented by patient education, manual therapy techniques, K-taping, and a range of modalities (ice and heat therapy, traction, electrical muscle stimulation, and ultrasound).

With experience in diverse areas, including motor vehicle accidents, acute orthopedic injuries, various neuropathies (carpal tunnel, sciatica, etc.), arthritis, rotator cuff injuries, tennis elbow, chronic neck and low back pain, TMJ, concussion, and vestibular pathologies, Muaz brings a wealth of knowledge and continues to add to his practice through ongoing education and certifications.

Muaz's overarching goal is to empower people by helping them better understand their condition, enabling them to manage pain effectively and return to their everyday lives. Beyond the clinic, you'll find Muaz indulging in his love for sports, be it soccer, baseball, cricket, or hitting the weights in the gym. Also, he is a huge Calgary Flames fan and loves watching movies. Feel free to ask him about his favourite movie!
