Mona Pour-Saleh
About
Mona is a dedicated and passionate Registered Massage Therapist and Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, who is also fully certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage massage therapy. Mona has taken advanced post-graduate coursework also including Brazilian Lymphatic Massage and Fascial Stretch Therapy, allowing her to pull from a multitude of techniques. Her expertise includes lymphedema, post-operative, scar tissue resolution, lipedema, plastic surgery patients (face lift, breast reduction or augmentation, BBL), acne and skin conditions, and pre- and post-natal massage. Mona is highly sought out for her expertise in treating a full array of musculoskeletal conditions as well (including frozen shoulder, tendonitis, back pain, headaches, TMJ, and more). Further to this, she brings a very unique perspective to her practice, shaped by her experience as a former professional athlete, and loves helping athletes manage the demands of their training, and/or their recovery needs from injury. Since 2010, Mona has been engaged in high level weight training and was a former competitive bodybuilder – turning professional in 2018 and competing on the Olympia stage in both 2021 and 2022. Through her athletic journey, she herself encountered various injuries that fueled her interest in understanding optimal rehabilitation strategies and pain management. During her competitions, Mona discovered the significant impact that massage therapy had on her performance, daily activities, and overall well being.
Mona graduated from George Brown College in Pre-Health Science and with a diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion. She then furthered her education at ICT Kikkawa College, where she earned her diploma in the Massage Therapy program. Additionally, Mona completed an internship program at a physiotherapy clinic in Thailand, where she worked closely and collaboratively with physiotherapists in her role as a rehabilitative trainer. Since that time, she has become fully certified in lymphatic massage through the Dr. Vodder School of Combined Decongestive Therapy, for which she has a passion.
In addition to her work as a Massage Therapist, Mona continues to work with athletes in a coaching capacity, to prepare them for their upcoming competitions. With a deep appreciation for the body’s healing potential, Mona is committed to providing individualized care that meets the unique needs of each client. Her goal is to support clients through pain management and recovery with treatments specifically designed for them. Mona believes that every session is an opportunity for healing and is dedicated to helping her clients achieve their health goals. She loves what she does, and it shows!
Mona is a member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapy of Ontario (CMTO) and The Canadian Alliance of Alternative Medicine (ACMA).
