Rebecca Slota
About
Dr. Rebecca Slota is a Chiropractor, medical acupuncture provider, and custom orthotics provider who offers evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s lifestyle, goals, and needs. With an extensive background in biology, psychology, and biomechanics, she focuses on family wellness, athletic injury rehabilitation, and helping patients move and function better in their daily lives.
Her chiropractic care emphasizes overall wellness, spinal adjustments, joint function, and biomechanics. She supports patients with a variety of musculoskeletal concerns, including low back pain, neck pain, rib dysfunction, joint pain, chronic headaches, carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis or golfer’s elbow, jaw pain, pregnancy-related low back pain, and menstrual pain.
Dr. Slota’s treatment plans may include chiropractic adjustments, rehabilitation exercises, custom orthotics, ergonomic advice, nutritional and dietary counselling, ultrasound, electrical muscle stimulation, and other supportive clinical therapies, depending on the patient’s needs.
She also provides clinical acupuncture, blending traditional acupuncture principles with modern anatomical knowledge. Acupuncture may be used to support pain management, stress-related concerns, psychological well-being, abdominal dysfunction, menstrual dysfunction, sinusitis, weight loss support, smoking cessation, and overall recovery.
Dr. Slota completed her Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, where she graduated with Clinic Honours. Her training included anatomy, nutrition, rehabilitation, sports injuries, biomechanics, and experience with WSIB, PAF, and auto insurance rehabilitation frameworks. She also holds a Clinical Acupuncture Certificate recognized by the Acupuncture Council of Ontario and an Honours Bachelor of Science with a double major in Biology and Psychology.
Before becoming a chiropractor, Dr. Slota worked as a psychometrist in Toronto, evaluating cognitive and psychological health for motor vehicle accident clients. This experience continues to inform her understanding of the connection between physical health, mental well-being, rehabilitation, and recovery.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Slota enjoys staying active and spending time with family. Her athletic background includes varsity rowing and competitive swimming, giving her a first-hand understanding of sports injuries, performance, and the role movement plays in lifelong wellness. She also enjoys running, travelling, reading, painting, drawing, music, and staying active with her family.
