AnnaSophia Monsanto

Registered Massage Therapist

About

Sophia has a strong passion for health and wellness, shaped largely by her own experiences with movement dysfunction and chronic pain. She focuses on patient-centred care by developing treatment plans based on a person's goals and assessed needs. She utilizes a variety of modalities in treatment, including Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release, neuromuscular techniques and assisted stretching. In order to maximize the benefits of massage, she also provides homecare that requires minimal equipment and fits in with a patient's current lifestyle.

She has experience working with a variety of patient populations, including chronic pain sufferers, post-MVA patients, pregnant patients and patients with neurological disorders. She has previously worked in both spa and clinical settings and strives to provide a safe and relaxing environment for everyone she encounters.

Sophia graduated from the 2200 hour Registered Massage Therapy diploma program at Langara College in British Columbia, and is registered with both the CMTBC in BC and the MTAA in Alberta.

When not at work, she dabbles in aerial arts, is an avid home cook, loves going out to eat with friends, and lifts weights several times a week. She has two cats who she loves very much.
