Ashley Lorenz
About
Ashley completed her Master of Science in Physiotherapy at Leeds Beckett University in the United Kingdom, following a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary.
Ashley has a background in treating individuals with chronic or persistent pain and has recently expanded her practice focus to include Pelvic Health Physiotherapy, which has become her primary area of interest. Her passion for pelvic health began during her master’s program, while on placement with an outpatient urogynecological and obstetric team.
She current supports clients experiencing conditions such as pregnancy-related back and pelvic girdle pain, urinary incontinence and urgency, postpartum changes, and age related changes. She is currently pursuing further training in pelvic pain, with the goal of integrating her previous experience in chronic pain management with her work in pelvic floor dysfunction.
Ashley’s treatment approach is active-based and evidence-informed, emphasizing exercise, education, and self-management strategies to help clients build confidence and independence in managing their symptoms. When appropriate, she complements her sessions with manual therapy techniques to optimize recovery and overall function.
Her pelvic health practice currently focuses on adult female clients. For men’s or pediatric pelvic health concerns, she encourages patients to connect with one of our other pelvic therapists who provide these services.
Outside the clinic, Ashley enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, camping, snowboarding, and skiing. She also enjoys volleyball and reading.
