About

Cristiane got her Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine diploma at the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Since then, she has been helping patients with a variety of conditions including muscle and joint pain, headaches, insomnia, digestive issues, eczema, menstrual issues, asthma, rhinitis, menopause symptoms, and others. She also offers Oncology Acupuncture to help individuals manage side effects of cancer treatments, including dry mouth, chemotherapy-induced nausea, vomiting, and peripheral neuropathy.

Besides acupuncture, she uses different modalities to complement her treatments, such as cupping, Gua sha, acupressure, ear seeds, Qi Gong breathing exercises, Chinese herbs and diet therapy.

Cristiane also has a strong background in Western Medicine, including a MSc and a PhD in Neurosciences and Neuroimmunology, as well as postdoctoral and research associate positions held in projects related to diabetic neuropathy and epilepsy at the University of Calgary.

Outside the clinic, Cristiane loves to teach different Western Medicine courses to acupuncture and massage therapy students and learn new specialized techniques and protocols in acupuncture.

In her free time, she enjoys chasing the Aurora Borealis, playing pickleball, going for long walks, and practicing Tai Ji Quan and Qi Gong.
