Helen Anderson

Acupuncturist

About

Rather than simply treating diseases, Helen promotes preventative health, wellness & patient empowerment. She believes that encouraging & educating her patients to become active participants in their own journey toward optimal health is fundamental to their success on that journey. Her treatments don’t just focus on symptoms - they concentrate on the root health concerns of the patient. She offers a natural & wholistic approach to medicine that promotes healing & wellness through personalized treatment protocols.

She successfully completed both the Doctor of Acupuncture & the Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine programs at the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine along with an internship at the Yunnan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Kunming, in the Yunnan Province of China. Helen earned a BSc (Honours) in Physics from Portsmouth University (UK) in 1994. Her strong scientific background allows her to blend ancient scientific philosophies of the East with modern theories of West. She uses this to provide her patients with individualized treatment plans tailor-made for them.

Travel, reading & learning new things are all important to Helen. Even when walking the dog, you’ll probably find she’s listening to an audiobook too!
