Jordan Rankin
About
Jordan graduated from the University of Alberta where she earned her Master of Physical Therapy degree. She previous received her Bachelor of Health and Physical Education from Mount Royal University. She played university women’s hockey and is passionate about helping athletes reach their goals and get them back to the sport they love. As a former elite athlete, she understands the importance of injury prevention and being able to consistently perform at a highly competitive level.
Jordan is interested in manual therapy, sports rehabilitation, orthopedics, and chronic pain management. She has completed additional training in Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS/Dry Needling). She believes maximizing someone’s rehabilitation involves education, a customized exercise program, manual therapy, evidence-based research and keeping the patient involved in the recovery process.
Jordan grew up in Kamloops, BC and moved to Calgary to pursue school and university hockey. She has since made Calgary her home. She enjoys staying active and participates in many activities including hockey, hiking, snowshoeing, yoga and kayaking. She was also previously a competitive swimmer, soccer, basketball player and track and field athlete.
