Marie-Celine St-Jacques
About
Marie-Céline is a bilingual (French and English) neuro-physiotherapist with a deep passion for and extensive training in complex neuro-sensory-motor conditions. Her expertise encompasses a wide range of conditions, including complex concussions or post-concussion syndrome, learning disabilities, post-craniotomy recovery, migraines and headaches, autonomic dysfunctions, and trauma-related issues.
Early in her career, she gained valuable experience working with various neurological conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings. However, she developed a particular passion for addressing the intricate challenges faced by individuals whose nervous systems are out of sync with their sensory and motor systems.
Marie-Céline strongly believes in empowering clients and their families by making them active participants in the rehabilitation process. Education is at the forefront of her clinical approach, ensuring that clients fully understand their conditions and treatment plans. She is also a dedicated interprofessional collaborator, working closely with each client’s healthcare team to provide comprehensive care.
In addition to her clinical practice, Marie-Céline serves as the Clinical Lead at Lifemark Neurologic Physiotherapy. In this role, she mentors colleagues, provides guidance, and advocates for the needs of her clients. Her expertise includes neuro-developmental treatment, proprioceptive neuro-facilitation therapy, vestibular and oculomotor rehabilitation, learning disabilities treatment, and craniosacral therapy (CST). She is also skilled in stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury treatment, and managing conditions such as Mal de Débarquement Syndrome, concussions, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), and chronic or complex pain.
