Clinic Director

About

Marius is a highly qualified physiotherapist with over 20 years of clinical experience. He holds a European degree in Physiotherapy, an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Sport, and has completed extensive postgraduate education in advanced manual therapy, IMS and medical acupuncture, the McKenzie and Mulligan concepts, vestibular physiotherapy, and other evidence-based rehabilitation approaches.

He has successfully completed the Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy program through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association’s Orthopaedic Division and has earned the prestigious Fellowship of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT), a designation held by only a small percentage of physiotherapists in Canada. He is also certified by the University of British Columbia in Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS), a highly effective technique used to treat chronic pain and neuromuscular dysfunction by addressing underlying myofascial and nerve-related contributors to pain and movement limitations.

With a background that includes academic and research involvement, Marius has worked extensively with elite and recreational athletes, providing high-level assessment and rehabilitation. He is currently a valued member of the Lifemark Physiotherapy Leslie & Sheppard team, where he combines advanced manual therapy with individualized active rehabilitation programs and adjunct modalities such as acupuncture, IMS, cupping, and taping to help clients achieve optimal recovery and long-term results. In addition to his clinical work, Marius is deeply committed to advancing the profession and contributes to the education of future physiotherapists as a clinical instructor and facilitator for orthopaedic skills laboratories with the University of Toronto.

Outside of the clinic, Marius is passionate about physical activity and the outdoors. He enjoys playing tennis with his family, skiing, hiking, and diving, and is always seeking new ways to stay active and connected with nature.
