About

Omar works closely with patients and interdisciplinary teams to support recovery, performance, and long-term health. He holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University and is currently completing his Master’s degree in Kinesiology, with a focus on exercise physiology. His academic work has been recognized with multiple awards for research excellence.

He has a strong interest in cardiovascular and exercise physiology, with research exploring how breathing techniques and the nervous system influence blood pressure regulation. Alongside his clinical work, he is pursuing a future in medicine, with the goal of continuing to integrate research and patient care.

In the clinic, Omar works with a diverse range of individuals including older adults, patients recovering from motor vehicle accidents, workplace injuries, and long-term conditions. He emphasizes a patient-centered and collaborative approach, working with each individual to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their goals, abilities, and lifestyle. He is passionate about using exercise as a tool not only for rehabilitation, but for empowering patients to take an active role in their health.

Omar’s background includes experience as an athletic trainer and involvement in strength training and powerlifting environments, which has shaped his practical and performance-focused approach to rehabilitation and conditioning.

Originally from Egypt, Omar brings a diverse perspective to his work and values building strong, trusting relationships with his patients. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys training in the gym, playing basketball, and gaming.
