Stelios Hanias

Physiotherapy Resident

About

Stelios is a physiotherapy resident recently earning his Master of Science in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University in 2025, following a Bachelor of Kinesiology in 2023. Throughout his schooling, he worked as a personal trainer and strength & conditioning coach, helping clients improve performance, build strength, and optimize movement through evidence-based exercise.

Stelios has completed physiotherapy placements across hospital, community, and private practice settings. These experiences have equipped him to work with a variety of individuals, from those recovering from major surgeries or medical conditions to patients rehabbing from MVAs and work-related injuries.

Outside of the clinic, Stelios enjoys weight training, hiking, bouldering, and Greek dancing, and you may find him on a mountain from time-time. His active lifestyle has led to an interest in treating both acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, including muscle strains, ligament sprains, tendinopathies, and joint dysfunction.

Stelios takes an individualized, exercise-based approach to care, working closely with each client to manage pain, improve movement efficiency, and support long-term recovery so they can confidently return to the activities that matter most to them.
