Timothy Kwan
About
Timothy is a licensed physiotherapist with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO). He obtained his Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MScPT) from the University of Toronto. Prior to his master’s degree, he completed an Honours Bachelor of Science (HBSc) in Life Sciences, with a minor in Commerce, at McMaster University. He also completed one year of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) at the University of Toronto before transitioning into physiotherapy.
Growing up as an active participant in sports, Timothy pursued a career in physiotherapy because of his interest in rehabilitation sciences and the human body. His interest also grew from experiencing sport-related injuries through running and swimming. Timothy is passionate about helping patients and supporting them as they make progress in their recovery from injury.
Timothy tailors his sessions using an evidence-based and patient-centred approach. His treatment plans are designed to meet each patient’s individual needs and may include manual therapy, modalities, acupuncture, and individualized exercise prescriptions. He emphasizes patient education during sessions, empowering patients to play an active role in their rehabilitation journey.
Timothy is fluent in English and Cantonese.
